Welcome Back - Term 4
I hope everyone had an enjoyable break, and welcome back to Term 4. It is hard to believe it is the final term for 2011. Where has the year gone?
This Term our Kinder children will commence their 'Tranistion to School' program. This is a very comprehensive transition to school which will see them very well prepared for when they start Prep at the beginning of next year.
Term 4 is also the final term at Primary School for our Year 6 students. This will be a very important end to their primary schooling. This can be an exciting time for our Year 6 students, while for some it can be an anxious time for them. I encourage parents to talk to their child if they are anxious about their start of Secondary School, keeping the conversations positive, yet discussing what will be different as well as anything they are particularly concerned about. Our Year 6 students will participate in a range of 'Transition Activities' to support them in their move to Secondary school.
To start the Term, Bernard Managakahia a dance performer, will be in attendance for the first week. Bernard will be working with Fran in Performing Arts sessions and their will be a celebration on Friday 14th October, watch the Newsletter for all details.
As the Term progresses, teachers will be assessing and writing Reports and all teachers and students will be preparing for the end of year Concert. Fran McCormick has already begun organisation for this wonderful celebration of the year.
I look forward to catching up with many of you throughout the Term and encourage you to participate in as many activities at the school as you can.

Our school commences enrolment process for the following year in about May each year. We run an information session, conduct school tours and meet with all prospective families.
