The school’s curriculum is formulated around the Victorian Essential Learning Standards.


English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy are at the forefront of learning at all levels of the school.

The Arts are used to enable students to gain a knowledge and understanding of the socio-cultural and physical world.

Learning Technologies support all areas of the school curriculum. Specialist teachers provide Japanese (LOTE), Learning Technologies, Visual Arts, Performing Arts and Physical Education.


To support these curriculum areas, the following enrichment and special assistance programs are provided: Reading Recovery; Integration; Junior School Council; House System; Peer Leaders; Student of the Week; 4 School Values; Instrumental Music and school Band; Camps and Excursions; Swimming and Interschool Sport; Health and Human Relationships; Developmental Learning; Parent Education.

Some of the existing key organizational aspects are:

  • Professional Learning Teams for teachers in Foundation, Year 1 & 2, Year 3 & 4 and Year 5 & 6.
  • Promotion of Team Teaching across the school.
  • This year, for organisational purposes, all classes are stand alone classes.
